where are we?
what is going on?
the dust has only just begun to form
crop circles in the carpet
sinking feeling
ransom notes keep falling out of your mouth
mid sweet-talk, newspaper word cut outs
speak no feeling, I don't believe you.

My goodness. It's been so long since I've blogged. I was reading through some old ones a few minutes ago, and man, I was angsty. I've grown up so much. Let me explain with an update of life in general:
I've let go of friends that weren't making my life any easier. There was a lot of argument involved, but I really am a lot better off without them, enough said.
I'm doing my Graduation Project (which is apparently state-mandated now) on print journalism, which is also what I want to pursue as a career. I know that there has been a lot of garb about how print journalism is going down the drain, slowly but surely, but it doesn't bother me much. I feel like there's still a future with print. People like tangible things, and that's reason enough.
I'm so relieved at having a secure place at Guilford Technical Community College next year. I applied, and they accepted me. (I know, not much effort to get into a community college.) I just sent my transcript to the admissions office the other day. So all I have to do is register for classes. Hopefully after two years there I can transfer to UNCG and finish a journalism degree.
Richie and I are still kickin' it, and we have hopes of apartment shopping early next year. Really, truly, and genuinely the love of my life.
School is very stressful this year. AP English is the hardest class I've ever had. I underestimated it as being a breeze since I'm always good at English. But I made a 71 on my Pride and Prejudice essay, and that shot my A to hell. I'm working on it, though. I'm determined to make an A or B and get college credit from the AP exam. My Discrete math teacher also said there was "no sense" in having the grade I have now. skdljglkadhsjaf;las;kjga;basfdsnf;lknslf
Anywho. I'm still very much the same person. Maybe just a little more mellow and a lot more focused. I've missed you all.

Don't wait
I've been looking for inspiration everywhere, and I might have finally found it. I miss the old days when I was such an intellectual. I've really disregarded all of that lately, and I hate it. I've grown up so much in the past two months. More than that really though, I can't put a time frame on it. Richie has certainly served the purpose of his "blackberry cobbler, kerosene heater" warmth that I love so much. I couldn't be happier. I'm still interning up at View Askew. I'm so much more aspirational about becoming a t.artist, because I've fully discovered that tattooing is tracing, and the most important part is the sanitation. This makes me so much more hopeful than I was. I'm still going to GTCC though, to major in humanities. I read Blue Like Jazz again, and like always, it made me think about people a lot differently. It's just the best book. I run out of things to talk about here.. I'm not graduating early. I'm taking AP English, and I'm so excited because we get to read banned books and The Picture of Dorian Gray. I guess I'll try to find something worthwhile later..
